The Greater Baltimore Wilderness Coalition is proud to announce our first annual Green Opportunity and Job Fair
Light Refreshments will be provided.
The fair is located in the Talon Center and attendees can park in Lot F adjacent to the Center.
We are hoping to help young adults find a pathway into the conservation field by bringing together a wide variety of opportunities into one place. The fair will engage attendees in four main topics:
- Jobs and job training opportunities currently available: Summer and year long positions, both full-time and part-time, in addition to career and certification opportunities
- Things people can do to bring conservation into their community: Restoring vacant lots, upcoming community events, urban farming, tips on accessing community building resources
- Volunteer Opportunities with Baltimore-based conservation organizations: Volunteering at parks, wildlife biologists, or technicians to learn more about careers in the field
- Job Skill Development: Resume/interview coaching, discussing pathways to conservation careers with current conservation professionals
